The Objective of Land of Contrasts Namibia's Blog

Namibia's beauty is divine and perfect, hand designed by God, again to perfection that is why it is so easy to love this country and so many people have come, loved but then left. The land is beautiful and presents beautiful landscape contrasts from north to south east and west. There are extremes and varieties in Namibia: the country presents a true rainbow of people and contrasts in skin pigmentation, cultures and characters. The Namibian contrasts include as everywhere else, Good and bad, Wealthy and abject poverty, benevolence and malevolence. In contrast to the beauty of the country the people in a significant number are absolutely full of iniquity; senseless haters, jealous, envious, greedy and arrogant. For a country liberated by the international community, Namibia is highly xenophobic (at all levels of society as reported by the LAC Legal Assistance Centre), a foreigner is welcomed as long as he spends money (like Alexander or major Chinese businessmen) but does not unpack his bags for long. Those foreigners with Namibian spouses having no choice but to stay and live in Namibia can relate and concur. The administration is designed to insure that you feel and stay a third class citizen, despite constitutional guarantees of equality. As a foreigner you have diminished rights in Banks, when looking for a Jobs, Access to Civil Services, Access to Health Care, Access to the Police; it is a struggle to get things done even as a permanent resident. Individuals and Government officials openly, shamelessly make xenophobic remarks (the Chinese get it worst), Newspapers vilify foreigners at every opportunity and continuously feed Namibians with xenophobic thoughts, incompetent administrators always link their failures to the presence of foreigners. Living in Beautiful Namibia as a foreigner can be hell in paradise, white people in Namibia live in cocoons and in isolation within their own communities as both white racism and black racism is very much a part of Namibian society. This blog will expose the hideous part of Namibia in contrast with its beauty. Noone ever comes to the defence of the foreign or expatriate community, diplomates stay diplomatic, politicians  play politics, civil society stays mum. The purpose of the blog is to be objective in its presentation of the hideous part  of Namibia and constructive therefore inviting comments from everyone, this in an attempt to adjust and perhaps help make Namibia truly beautiful in and out.
Namibia can be beautiful IN and OUT if its HIDEOUS face is uncovered.
